Some government websites contain information about the NHS plan and other aspects of modernisation. There are helpful key themes for bidding processes.

There are no pages or documents in the department of health website with telemedicine or teledermatology in the title. http://www.doh.gov.uk/ipu/implemen/flis/guidance/annexes/annexh.htm

The Telemedicine Information Service is integrated with the University of Portsmouth, the British Library and government web sites. It provides access to descriptions of a wide range of telemedicine projects active and past in the UK http://www.tis.bl.uk/

The General Medical Council and the Royal College of Physicians had no useful content on telemedicine on their website (04.2002)

The British Medical Association provides some basic descriptions and broad concepts as well as some reports of projects. But no clear guidelines.http://www.bma.org.uk/

You might be able to find something in the website of the Medical Defense Union, but you would need to be a member to logon http://www.the-mdu.com/

The European Health and Telematics Observatory has a very broad website and it is possible to find interesting material although it is mixed with large amounts of less useful stuff. http://www.ehto.org/
